What are the different reputations and stuff for different dorms?

Most of the freshman dorms change a lot from year to year because frosh don’t get to pick their dorms. Otero, for example, was a party dorm the year before I lived there, but more of a laid-back, nerdy dorm my year. Branner always seems to make itself into a party dorm, but it’s no longer housing frosh this year.

So it’s impossible to say which dorms have what reputations. And in your case, it doesn’t even matter because you get little to no choice in the matter.

I know for sure that you don’t want to live in FroSoCo

Sly si you lived in Otero? I lived there last year =D Manwich ftw

As a dorm question that can be answered much faster, do Frosh ever room with nonFrosh?

i read somewhere that frosh always room w/ frosh. no worries.

Frosh always room with frosh. asian75, I don’t know what your thing is about FroSoCo. There are some students for whom FSC is perfect–I probably would have been one of them had I lived there. (I didn’t, and was very happy with Otero. Viva la manwich.)

Yeah of course. They’re called NERDS

Are FroSoCo kids really that nerdy? The only problem I would have with it is that it’s so far away from everything else.

Not nerdy in the traditional sense, but nerdy in the way that 75% of Stanford students are nerdy, to one degree or another. FroSoCo students are maybe a little bit more so than the rest of that 75%, although I’ve heard they’re getting less nerdy.

Again, asian75, I don’t know what your problem is. Few if any of your posts that I’ve read make productive contributions to the discussion. You’re hurting your own credibility here.

@Sly Si: I don’t have any problems with FroSoCo. I just want let ppl know the general perception of FroSoCo on campus. Most of them are TRUE. I don’t think I am hurting my credibility at all since they’ll find out about it after arriving on campus. What you said about Stanford is TRUE too, but FroSoCo is not getting less nerdy. Their RF is one hella strict one too. John Bravman, I believe. He’ll tell you about his experience as a C student during convocation
