Dorm questions? Read HerCampus UChicago's guide!

Hey all!

Congrats to everyone who got accepted to the Class of 2015! This year was even more competitive than the last, so you should all be extremely proud!

Of course, now that decisions are set in stone, a lot of you are probably wondering which dorm you should pick to live in next year. Housing’s a really big deal since it’s a huge part of campus life, and choosing the right dorm is essential.

I write for HerCampus UChicago, and starting today we are rolling out an accepted students/prospie edition of the site, complete with guides to campus life. To answer a lot of your housing questions, we have just posted up a Campus News article written by one of our staff members about housing:

[UChicago Class of '15 Housing Guide | Her Campus](UChicago Class of ’15 Housing Guide)

Please read! It’s a helpful guide that concentrates primarily on the social aspect of each res hall, and please browse through the site! Like what you see? You can also like our fan page here!:

Happy reading! If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch with me about anything. For now, I leave you with the housing guide :).

This guide is biased :P.

This sounds a lot more impressive before you remember that South has been around for all of two years.

Crown House was most likely inherited from the old Shoreland dorm, which means that the rivalry dates back at most to the founding of Max Palevsky, 2001.

Snell-Hitchcock and Dodd-Mead (in BJ) have been fighting over the legacy of Carl Sagan for much, much longer . . . :)

Wait, this is a really stupid question, but how do you fill out the housing application? I already paid my enrollment deposit but when I click the link for the housing application, it just sends me to my status website and I don’t see anything there about housing… help?

^ Wait a couple of days.
