<p>Does anyone know how long it takes for a college to decide on what dorm room you will be in? Because i sent in my apllication for a dorm room, and i’ve yet to recive word back from it. I was just wondering, because i recived a email from the college saying that their dorm rooms were already 50% full for the fall of 2009.</p>
<p>I guess my question is, does anyone know how long this takes?</p>
<p>When my kids were incoming freshmen, they were notified of their housing assignments around the end of July or beginning of August.</p>

<p>Geez that long. <em>sigh</em> I was hoping it would be sooner, so i could start planning on getting stuff ahead of time.</p>
<p>My daughter got hers in August too. I have no idea why it takes so long, we were both annoyed!<br>
You can still get “stuff”, you’ll need the same things in almost any room, regardless of room assignment. Also, many things, like fridge rentals are available during move in.</p>
