<p>It depends on the building (freshmen are assigned to almost every dorm). You can find the dorm floor plans on the Carleton website. The “least desirable” triples are in Watson, which are converted corner doubles. They are actually larger than regular doubles, but smaller than regular triples. My daughter was in one, and it was fine, spacewise. She and her roommates bunked two of the beds. I believe the plan is to change these back to doubles when the new dorm is built. New freshmen have the opportunity to state a preference for doubles or triples on the roommate survey form. Carleton also does a great job pairing roommates.</p>
