Dorm with the BEST bathroom

Hello I am going to be a umich freshmen within a few month and I have some trouble deciding which dorm to choose. Let me first go ahead and tell you that I am a really big hygiene-freak. so the truth is that I can’t poop / take shower / brush my teeth if the bathroom is dirty.

I know that we freshmen do not get much choice, so it is either central / (North) bursley / (North)baits.

Which dorm has the cleanest bathroom/dorm? I do not care if its a community bathroom as long as it is the cleanest.

Thanks in advance!

There are a number of things that determine the how clean a bathroom is. In general, a private bathroom has the potential to be the cleanest because… you clean it. In this case, it depends though on how clean your suite mates are. Communal bathrooms, however, you are at the mercy of facilities staff. This year, we’ve gone through 3 different facilities staff members. Each kept the bathroom to a different level of clean, but there were always times when I thought it should have been cleaner.

If you are that obsessed about the cleanliness of the bathroom, I would look for a room with a private bath and look for roommates who share the obsession. You may be best in Northwood because those are apartments and you will not share the bathroom with anyone other than the roommates. Even if the community bathrooms are kept clean, they do not make hourly rounds like they do at McDonald’s to make sure the bathroom is still clean.

the only dorm I’ve been in is East Quad and the bathrooms in there were extremely clean…I stayed there for about 3 days and every day it was spotless. Im not sure if you’re a guy or girl but the guys bathroom surprisingly had no pee on the seats, no facial hair in the sinks, and no toilet paper on the floor. The showers were pretty nice as well…However, I think that the community scholars program is staying in East Quad this year, and I’m not sure if that means regular students dont live there.

I’ve never had a complaint about the bathrooms anywhere. Girls showers tend to have hair on the floor, which is gross, but that’s about the worst of it.
