Dorming w/ or close to gf?

If my girlfriend and I were both admitted to Umichigan next year as incoming freshman, what is the best way to stay as close to each other as possible?
Does UMichigan allow for us to dorm together?
If not whats the best way to stay as close to each other as possible in regards to filling out the Dorm application? What dorms should we both look at. Also we still want to be in a place with mostly freshman students.

bumpppppppppppp

Even if I knew the answer to your question (or read the question) I wouldn’t answer because you bumped your own thread after 20 fricken minutes…

Being on the same campus is plenty close. It’s really not that big of a deal if your dorms are close or not. That’s really just general advice for any college. I know lots of couples at U of M and none of them have had an issue with housing being too far apart.

But if I was at north and she was at central wouldn’t I have to take the bus to see her? And at nights when buses don’t run, wouldn’t I be not able to see her?

It’s not like you have a choice in where you end up, they just throw you wherever unless you are in a learning community. Besides how do you know if it will even last? Most high school romances don’t…it may be better to not be so close if this does happen.

I thought u can request a specific dorm and request to be near a specific person?
Would both of us rewording a north dorm give us a higher chance?

If you both prioritize in your request for North Campus, you’ll get that

They put 60% of freshmen on north
and most would probably rather be on central, so yes, I too am sure you will both get it. Better like bus rides.

If you both request Bursley you’ll almost surely get north campus.
