Dorms at Northeastern

How are the dorms at Northeastern? Are they clean? Are there good amenities such as laundry and bathrooms? Also, on the Northeastern website, it says that a standard double is around $3000. Is this per semester?

bumpppp

Yes per semester I believe. But I don’t know where you are getting 3k from.

The dorms vary, but even the low end ones are your “standard” college dorms. The honors dorms are very high quality. Laundry is readily available (2 machines of each type on each floor in my building) in all with mailboxes in the buildings as well as a trash room. The shared bathrooms are pretty clean and nice, doesn’t feel weird or gross. I don’t even use flip flops.

For what its worth, the food is also well above average, with the honors dorm having the best dining hall as well, but it is open to all.

Overall Grade: A-. You can probably find better, but those will be the schools that are KNOWN for something, like doing everyone’s laundry or something. For dorm life, it’s pretty good quality.

Even the standard freshman dorms have gotten some nice upgrades recently, like new bathrooms.

Honors dorms in International Village have private bathrooms, but I have a sneaking suspicion that Honors will get moved to the new East Village building for next fall.
