Has anyone else been called my housing and told that they are going to probably be in a triple bed or room…the person on the phone wasn’t 100% sure if it was 3 room 2 person or if it meant 3 people per room. They then suggested that I take the apartment offer I had…even said they would move me into the San Clemente apartments.

Thoughts? I was wondering if maybe it was just a scare to weed out some of the transfer students from the dorms.

Well, overcrowding is present at many schools, with UCSB not being the exception. From what I’ve heard, UCSB over-enrolled this year and was not able to offer spots to none of the waitlisters. With that said, it seems likely that the school is trying to cram as many people into a room as possible. I say you stick with the apartment offer. Much cheaper anyways.

No call here.

Manzanita village as first choice.

She was saying triple occupancy. I’m super worried about the social setting at San clemente…I figure I’ll let it slide for now

Social setting is the least thing to worry about. You can always head to other residence halls and have fun there.

I got the same call. I decided to go with Santa Ynez. Just waiting for the contract.

I think going to stay put. I really like the dorms and how close they are

Wait im not really understanding the whole apartment contract thing. I got into santa ynez like a month ago and the contract was already due so how are they allowing you to sign it now?

too many dorms, not as many apartments. That’s how I see it.
