<p>Before you officially moved in did you or were you able to go see your dorm? (mainly if you live close to where you are going to school) Also have you had problems with a roommate who snores?</p>

<p>I had the option of visiting, but I turned it down. I didn’t really care what it looked like on the inside.</p>

<p>I saw a sample dorm room which was the same layout as the room I moved into.</p>

<p>As to snoring roommate, I don’t remember if my roommates snored. Fell asleep too fast.</p>

<p>I think most colleges show you the model dorm and leave it at that. They wouldn’t show you the one you’re getting, and of course, the actual dorm looks nothing like the model one.</p>

<p>I have no idea what my dorm will look like. They offered a tour of other halls that will look nothing like mine since mine is newer compared to most of the dorms. Also, you should recommend some nose strips to your snoring roommate if its a problem or some earplugs for you.</p>

<p>Had no idea what my first dorm would look like. I switched dorms midyear, but the dorm I moved into was where all my friends were, so I was really familiar with it.</p>

<p>Get some earplugs if your roommate snores.</p>
