Dorms

Do most Princeton students stay in a dorm all four years of college? I wish that they had pet dorms or something. It would be great to have my dog with me:)

yeah, most students live on campus all four years

Pretty sure I’m sneaking my turtle in with me… we’ll see how that goes. If I get a cranky roommate I’m gonna cry, because I’ll miss Hermione way too much.

My cousin took her cat with her to Binghamton…

suburbian…did she get away with it? Also…
So no one goes and get and apartment or anything?

well, it’s really expensive to live in the town on Pton…so I think very few students do that

yes, the town of pton is really expensive…

When I visited my aunt and uncle a year later, the cat was there, so I’m guessing no.

They have housing inspections once a semester, so it’s hard to keep pets hidden like that. Fish are allowed, I think.

Is it true that the inspection teams aren’t allowed to move any of your things when inspecting the room - like pulling out your bed or lifting under your desk?

I was told that I can bring my turtle, and when the inspectors come, just throw a blanket over the cage - she lives in a fish tank anyway. But that the inspectors, it’s well known when they’re coming, so it’s easy to handle stuff like a turtle.

Yeah, they just look around. No touching stuff.

The most common offense is usually a propped door.
