Double major and Pre-Medical

I was thinking of transferring into Berkeley from my current community college and I was curious as to the feasibility of getting a double major in Philosophy/ Anthropology as well as finishing my premedical studies. I’ve heard that Berkeley has a reputation of being cut throat when it comes to premeds, and I’ve also heard the Philosophy program at Berkeley is also difficult in it’s own right. So be honest with me CC, is this college path possible?

Each of anthropology and philosophy needs 9 upper division courses, assuming that you have completed the lower division requirements before transfer. Then you will need whatever remaining pre-med courses you have not already taken (if you have not taken any, that is probably about 10 courses). So a total of 18 to 28 courses.

Since a normal course load is about 4 courses (or 15-16 units) per semester, that gives you about 16 courses over 4 semesters, or about 20 courses over 5 semesters.
