I’m currently a junior in High School and am contemplating my options in college. I have a deep passion for music of all types, as well as the ethnography of music; and I also have recently developed a passion for foreign languages, cultures, and literature. Thus, I am, as of right now, leaning towards a double major in music and a foreign language (I am currently thinking Japanese). I am also particularly interested in studying abroad somewhere and writing on/researching/generally learning about their music, as well as the other outlets of their culture as a whole. Basically, my question is, what is the viability of this plan? And, if viable, does anyone have any recommendations for colleges to check out? I’m currently looking into a lot of the top liberal arts colleges in New England & the Midwest.

Thank you for your time.
