double major math and music?

<p>My son is a HS junior would like to pursue a double major in pure math and music performance (trumpet). Many of the schools he has looked at the music major is too demanding. He truly enjoys music and it is definitely a passion but believes his career will be in math. Is it possible to double major at Chicago? I know the math program is excellent but how is the music program? Thanks for your feedback.</p>
