I just got into Cornell SHA, but i also want to major in philosophy. Is it possible to do a double major starting from the first semester?
I’m fairly certain that you wouldn’t be allowed to major in philosophy as well as SHA. While some colleges allow you to double major across colleges, arts and sciences is not one of them. You could still minor in philosophy and if it interests you then I would highly encourage you to take a class or two in it your first semester.
what about after freshman year?
No, you can’t double major across colleges in arts and sciences at all. Doesn’t matter what year you’re in.
