Is it practical to double major at Columbia, or does the Core make it nearly impossible?

You can double major in the college, but in SEAS it is borderline impossible. It’s been years since we had a double major.

Do not underestimate the work of just one major. Get to school first and see what you think then. It’s far more difficult than it seems.

The Special Concentration in Jazz Studies at Columbia is the functional equivalent of a “minor”, which is designed to be combined with a major (either in music or in any academic subject).
