Does anyone know how Greek Drake University is? I have heard that 80% of upper-classmen are in the Greek system. I can’t find any stats.
Unrelated to the Greek system - has anyone had experience competing for one of the Presidential scholarships? Wondering how many incoming freshmen typically compete (ball park).

Drake should be able to provide you the stats on the Greek system. Email the admissions office and ask. They also should be able to give you information about the number of students who compete for the Presidential scholarships every year.
It really, truly, is OK to ask Drake Admissions about this sort of thing.

I do drive right by Drake several times a week. There are several busy looking Greek houses right along the main street. So, while the percentage may or may not be 80%, there is an active Greek presence there.
No way it’s 80%. That would put them close or at the top nationally.
According to [Section F of Drake’s Common Data Set](http://www.drake.edu/media/departmentsoffices/institutionalresearch/cds/2014-2015commondataset/Part%20F.pdf), only 8 and 9% of the total female and male undergraduate population respectively are in Greek life.
