<p>My son would like to major in Acting/Drama (but not musical theatre) and possibly minor in journalism, which schools in NY would be a best bet if grades are mediocre, scores are mediocre, audition would be great and there is huge talent? THinnking SUNY Purchase, your suggestions?</p>

<p>Re: SUNY Purchase - BFA Acting. You cannot minor in anything. Acting program is intensive and actors only take one general ed class per semester. It is a conservatory program… training, training, training. They take around 20 actors each year (half men, half women) and by graduation roughly 12-13 actors remain. Highly selective and VERY demanding. Good luck</p>
