dreaded letter of explanation for gradedrop stories.

<p>Hi all,</p>

<p>I am wondering if anyone has stories about receiving a letter from stanford after their grades dropped significantly for second semester senior year. I am most likely getting one C (honors class), one B (AP class), and four As(3 APs and one regular). This is a drop from straight As first semester, but not straight As throughout all of high school.</p>

<p>I’m basically just wondering how bad it has to be before they send you a letter, and then what happens once you explain your given circumstance, etc. Is one C gonna cause them to send a letter?</p>
