I’ve done a little computer science engineering (AES + ~1 year as a junior) and a little molecular and cellular biology (~1 year from BA). Both fields seem very stressful, and I’m having a hard time envisioning either of them leading to the “dream job”.

I want a job that’s not going to be too demanding, semi-prestigious, and pays $100k+. So far I’m half considering bioinformatics/computational neuroscience, dentistry, dermatology, biological research/bioengineering (neurology, cell biology, etc.), or a business/biotech program being offered at my university.

Another new option, after researching low stress, high paying jobs was actuary. I don’t know how much new academic work I would need to do to become an actuary though so am reluctant to switch my career goal yet again.

Does anyone have any insight into stress less high paying jobs o.O? Also, elaboration on what an actuary’s career is like would be nice (details not necessarily found on the nearest website). I know an actuary pretty much does risk evaluation using statistics and must pass a series of 10 exams to become a full fledged actuary, but that’s about all I know.

Thank you guys for the help :-)!
