I’d like to talk about Education in my country (Philippines)
// ****! the keyboard!

To me going to school serves no much purpose as to get a LICENSE to the Labor World.

I’m quite disappointed that my country is not really bless with a multimillion (or should I say billion) Educational Endowment.
I was really wondering why these schools manage to Excel a lot and as I’ve research they were endowed huge amounts of money to:

Fund research

Educate & train individuals

Preserve

I see that when picking a school you should not pick up to its Fame (although you are assure that the person is well-educated on the field) but people will still seek out the best one for themselves. As I was browsing the Ivy League I realized that these school are NOT and WILL NOT offer Animation course …haha

Due to this I was able to make a basis of how people should pick a school:

If the school has good resources then you won’t worry about the “instance” where you would hate that “I was not educated about that!” moment. AS school whose in the Top 10 of their respective field are considered good

If that school allows you to experiment freely.

If the school practices the individuality of the person (sadly, I was an apple of the Eye of a Teacher and she bugged me for 2 sems)

Location

Although only a FEW are blessed with this.

Here we have a safety net Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) which assures us we get quality education.

As what I’ve experience you should not gamble your education.
]
I was soo addicted to Computer Games (esp. Pokemon) I even dreamed that someday I would make my OWN GAMES. Pokemon and various Games have greatly inspired my creativity that I devoted myself to the Animation & Gaming Industry. So when I hit college I just asked “what course allows me to make my own Pokemoon?” people replied IT/Comsci and I did took it… but I soon realized that IT REALLY doesn’t sync with my dream. Realizing that it does not allow me to ANIMATE my thoughts! Then and there I shifted to Graphics & Media which is in-line with my interest.

After shifting Graphics & Media I learn that I already gamble my youth, time and education to a pitfall as the SCHOOL doesn’t really excel in the field not to mention CARES about it (we were the least priority) ever since HRM outrank NURSING for “demand”

I was really ****ed-off because we were treated as a business…!

The school declined our “Proposed Animation Lab” and converted it to Biology (which really sucks! Vomit!)

We weren’t able to visit an “Otaku Festival” due to the fact that the SCHOOL BUS was exclusive for NURSING PURPOSES!

I understand that in a business manner: you will not invest on something that lacks potential compared to something which is more in demand (NURSING and HRM)

The school does have a Pillar but they SHOULD REALIZE that their not only offering IT, HRM, Nursing and Engineering (the school’s Pillar - these are the schools’ priority)

Education here in that Philippines (although ranked as a Third World Country lots of us have been well educated and some did contribute to the world - think Fluorescent Lamp)
The Government is pretty much busy with ISSUES rather than SOLUTIONS!
The Popular Schools cost about $1,000+
I think the most expensive school here is worth $10,000 (but doesn’t assure of anything other that you bagged a lot of cash) I remembered there where Pinoy Teen players on “Wheel of Fortune (Philippines)” and doesn’t even know “Paru-Parong Bukid” (A native story) you could just imagine that even if its an International School it would still make a fool for alienating them just because of the wealth bracket.

There were State Universities but I was ****ed-off that it ends-up a home for WANNABE INTELLECTUALS!
I got a teacher who did not process my answer and ends up sending a messages to the air saying “Plagiarism (aimed to me)”
Not to mention she insults relaxed people like me(I’m laid-back and lazy^^)
Even those who dared to audition for talent search that

“people who lived by the principle – NO GUTS, NO GLORY – are sloppy!”

She was insulting those WANNABES (like her) about not really being talented but puts a leg forward.

In my mind, I think everyone lives to this rule “NO GUTS, NO GLORY” since we have to step out of the crowd and be heard! But that ***** really feels she’s so intelligent and continues to bugged me in class (It’s kinda hard to express my feeling toward this when I’m typing XD)

damn dumb-*****!

Now, I’m steering my path back hoping that I do find someone who has the shares the sames thought like me.

I do hope that I could get an education in Animation (which is very crucial to me)
