They are both very festive looking. Whichever you feel more comfortable wearing.

Here is a Ferragamo, slightly dressier than the plastic flip-flop yet not too formal:

I was imagining a mid or high heeled wedge.

Currently a fan to the black cork shoes Bunsen linked earlier. The ones with the gold accent.

What about the snakeskin wedge sandals you recommended to someone else a couple of weeks ago?

(Perhaps too busy?)

Or,

Just looking at Saks, what about one of these? (I’d probably look for knock-offs at a lower price, but that’s just me.)

<a href=“http://www.saksfifthavenue.com/main/ProductDetail.jsp?FOLDER<>folder_id=2534374306418101&PRODUCT<>prd_id=845524446453240&R=457151559213&P_name=Stuart+Weitzman&N=306418101&bmUID=kvfBPtE”>http://www.saksfifthavenue.com/main/ProductDetail.jsp?FOLDER<>folder_id=2534374306418101&PRODUCT<>prd_id=845524446453240&R=457151559213&P_name=Stuart+Weitzman&N=306418101&bmUID=kvfBPtE

(In black, NOT blue. Perhaps too busy with the dress?)

(I think these would look great with the dress, but too expensive?)

BB, I like those SF’s a lot.

choccie - cork wedge too casual, plus I already have a few cork wedges.

notteling, snakeskin to busy and I have wedges that are snakeskin (with cork wedges.)

the choo’s would be perfect in black - but i also don’t feel like spending $600 on a pair of shoes for this occasion.

I was thinking a flip flop would dress down the green dress a bit.

“If uneven surfaces and/or grass is involved, wedges would be a better choice.”

This party is only for my sister and her husband’s birthdays and it’s at her home (given by their kids.) If that’s a problem i can take shoes off completely.

I am going to go tomorrow to the two boutiques were I shop and see what they have. i should also go look in my closet as i sometimes forget what I have.

emilybee, that chunky heel JC in black patent was on sale at Saks. Of course, it is now completely gone.

The Ferragamo Flip flop is a bit too casual because it is flat and is made of plastic. A same kind of flip flop in leather would be fine, IMO. However, if you like it (I do, just not for this function!), Zappos has it on sale. I’m thinking about getting a pair to wear in HI. :)

the SF flip flop I liked? Can you send me the link? I find Zappos intimidating to look through.

I think it would work fine, tbh. It’s not like she is entertaining the Queen!

Bummer, it is a darker blue:

<a href=“The Style Room - Women | Zappos.com”>The Style Room - Women | Zappos.com;

But I like it nonetheless. :)

They also have a beige version:

<a href=“The Style Room - Women | Zappos.com”>The Style Room - Women | Zappos.com;

^BB, the black is called nero and they have it. click the down arrow under color if this link doesn’t show it.

<a href=“The Style Room - Women | Zappos.com”>The Style Room - Women | Zappos.com;

There is also a nero and a nero 2 in the beige link.

Bummer. The black is not on sale. I hate when Zappos does it!

^ Oh, I didn’t notice the prices. probably the blue is on sale because no one wants blue.

I would want the blue… I have a lot of clothes with blue in them. But the blue is not available in my size.

What did you decide on, emilybee?

Nothing yet. I’m going shopping tomorrow and see if there is anything i like. TBH, I rarely buy shoes online because i enjoy shoe shopping and it’s just not the same online.

What about a metallic Jack Rodgers Navajo wedge? I have a pair and they can dress up or down.

Thanks for all the help ladies!

I am going to go shopping for shoes tomorrow and I will choose which dress to wear by what looks better with the shoe I buy.

I have a beautiful pewter shoe but it would look awful with the green dress. I could possibly wear it with the red.

Will you bring both dresses with you?

“I am going to go shopping for shoes tomorrow and I will choose which dress to wear by what looks better with the shoe I buy.”

Sounds like a great plan! Have good times shopping. :)

Shopping in bouiques can be fun! Prsinally, after running a few marathons, I discovered one more advantage of shopping for shoes online: no sales person gets to stare at my bruised toes.
plus, it helps that I have a UPS store nearby where ai can dump boxes to be shipped back.

I do love the green dress. I’m rooting for shoes that go with it!

I could but it’s easier if i just make a decision before hand.

Or maybe I’ll see something i love tomorrow and decide to splurge.

It is funny – when I try to picture you in the two dresses, a mental image of your dog wearing each dress pops into my head. Posters are so associated with their avatars in my brain! I keep wanting to say that the green is lovely but the red would go so nicely with your black and white face and your black floppy ears!
