I’m a big fan of Baggallini because they’re so lightweight. Not a fan of backpacks for every day because I want to be able to access everything without taking the purse off my shoulder, but this caught my eye. And it comes in an animal print!
Can’t help on the purse/backpack search. I’ve taken to wearing a neck wallet most of time (around my neck or in pocket lashed to belt loop. Or carrying a very small travel purse, which can be crossbody if needed. But I do admire the look of the Portland bags above.
Looking for suggestions for a white overblouse. I used a 3/4 sleeve button down cotton shirt as a sweater a lot on vacation - really handy to have (esp with chilly AC in some restaurants). But it is too big, a bit of a sloppy look. Thinking maybe seersucker one would travel well. Ideally it would not have any chest pockets. Bonus points if Petite and/or shorter length.
I was going to say yes on need to be button down (or open in front, no buttons). But that style is quite pretty. And certainly I did also get use of a long sleeved activewear (arctic cool) top that I easily threw over caual short sleeved tops.
IMO, any cotton or linen shirt will wrinkle badly and will look sloppy no matter the size if kept in a bag to be pulled out for use as a sweater. For a casual look, have you considered a mid-weight denim shirt? I have one specifically for this purpose. Also, a few denim cropped jackets in various colors.
Interesting suggestions. So this was a driving trip (plenty of room for extra clothes), and I also had a short sleeved white short jacket. Looked nice with a dress or dressy shorts. Reading your comment, I’m realizing that the thicker material is similar to a denim. It actually would be a decent compromise if I could only have one white sweater-like blouse/jacket. But….it’s gotten older, a bit yellowed.
I am not fashion savvy, but I adore silver bags! I usually dress very casually, and I think of them as neutral. I recently got this tote (on sale!), it would be perfect except it’s a little too big for what I wanted.
Silver is a classic in my book. DD’s wedding was a few months ago in NYC so I convinced myself I needed a fabulous bag to go with my dress. My dress was navy so I started out looking at blue bags. Saw a few beautiful ones, but ultimately decided if I’m going to splurge on an evening bag, it’s better to get one I’ll use the rest of my life with any color dress. I think I’m set with this one.
