Both dresses look lovely and either would be perfect for the wedding and many other events! Nice to have choices that look amazing!
That’s so pretty!
Anyone buy a white T-shirt recently that they love? Mine are all looking tired and it’s a staple in my wardrobe. I want a loose fitting 100% cotton t. Short sleeve preferably not capped. My go to in the past have been Vince and Target. Opposite ends of the price point. I had been loving the Target ones but they don’t last. I’m looking for the perfect length wear with mid rise pants. Many now are cropped and I’m not down for showing my midriff.
Added plus if it’s sold at Nordstrom as I have a gift card.
I like the Gap ones below. I usually stock up on them when they have a good sale going and get extra off with my Gap CC.
Banana Republic has some good ones too.
I like these from Everlane, but I’m short waisted so they are the perfect length. I hate tucking in tees so many are too long for me (I don’t want them hanging more than an inch or two below my pants/skirt waistband, like in the pic below.)
I think this is the one I have and I’m also a fan of the Target ones.
I’ve been wanting to try this one. I need lightweight, boxy, not too high neck and on the short side for sleeves.
I like my tshirts loose - most tops I order in a large because I like loose - how are these sized??
I have the black one by this brand and like it a lot. It comes in white, too, and looks great in the embedded video. It is not 100% cotton though but doesn’t feel synthetic-y.

I have this Nic and Zoe shirt and agree that it has a great fit. It’s slim without being tight or clingy and it’s not see-through. Not totally sure how it’ll feel in warmer weather, but I love how neat it looks.
I’ve been a fan of the Velvet tees, but I only buy them on sale. The slub fabric is light and cool but they don’t look flimsy. The James Perse ones are a bit more substantial and always seem to be at Nordstrom Rack.
I would say true to size, but that said, if you want it loose you might go up a size. Or order two sizes and just return the one you like less. Everlane has easy returns provided you have a participating UPS store near you.
Thanks for all the suggestions.
I will hit up the Gap store to see what they have. The shape looks good.
I ordered the Nic and Zoe in a large from Nordstrom along with a Pact brand white shirt. The pact I ordered in the medium. It’s not a brand I’ve tried before.
I love a boxy t. I have this one from Jenni Kayne.
https://www.jennikayne.com/products/vintage-pocket-tee-charcoal I love the feel of the cotton and the sleeve length but it’s on the shorter side. They sometimes have some great colors and decent sales. It’s definitely not worth full price.
I’m just doing laundry and it looks like a wore this pay week. The Jenni Kayne t, 2 Target white tshirts, a gray Vince that is really old, and an AG v neck t shirt that I like but is on the longer side.
I also used to have a lot of James Perse but I find the sizing is inconsistent. That was fine when I had a local store to try on. With online ordering I don’t want to order and have to return a bunch. I used to also like Splendid but the same happened with them. Sometimes I would wear an x small and other times I needed the large in the same shirt.
My daughter swears by this brand. Boxy and on the shorter side.
I’d order it but it’s shorter than I’m looking for. The quality of cotton seems nice.
If you like that looser, linger fit, check out the tees from carbon to cobalt. They are great.
I rely on Wirecutter to help make decisions. I think of it as the New York Times’s Consumer Reports.
This thread has such good ideas. I might just need to get a white tee before my summer vacation - such a versatile piece, would match every bottom that I pack.
On the travel note, Tide stain remover packets can be handy if you are messy like me ![]()
Or Tide pen, if they still make them.
Good info! Half of the top choices are boxy, barely covering the belly button. A video showing fit in action can save a lot of headaches with returns.
I just purchased a 3-pack of Tide pens this past weekend!
