LOVE the idea of petite jeans. Alas, realizing that I’m not a $285 premium customer. ($100, maybe. That’s probably because I don’t tend to wear jeans very much… never with heels, except for boots.)
Hope other brands follow! And hopefully soon their stuff will be at the Rack much more reasonably priced.
Mother and Frame both offer petite sizes.
White House/Black Market sells protein jeans, but they aren’t in the same, “class,” of jeans.
LOL - getting enough protein is all the rage… but maybe you meant petite jeans? ![]()
Oops!
I’m just leaving my typo there! Otherwise, everyone will miss the humor in your post! ![]()
Now if rag and bone would! I’d really like to try their Miramar jeans.
They are really nice, like sweatpants soft! Sadly, hemming is impossible because the hem stitches are printed on the fabric. I’m 5’6” and still had to return a couple of styles because the length was way off!
I’ll admit to having a pair of tan regular sized, cropped NYDJ Marilyn jeans that on me are full length (with flat shoes). I also have a pair or black petite Marilyns which I wear with heeled boots or sometimes wedge sandals.
I’d still have to get them all hemmed. Anything with a 30” inseam, even if I wore heels, would drag on the ground.
Nordstrom doesn’t carry any of the brand in petites ![]()
Couldn’t you use the usual technique for hemming jeans using the original hem? Or is the fabric too thick?
It is not a denim fabric but rather a soft fabric with terrycloth like inside with all details printed on it, even zippers and buttons, so not very amenable to hemming.
Agree, but you could always just cut them!
I’ve watched Trinny Woodall (Trinny London founder) cut so many pieces of clothing on Instagram, including things that cost $$$$, it’s almost normalized for me now. Sometimes I still have to look away tho ![]()
Which brand are you looking for? Nordstrom definitely carries Mother petite denim. The petite line has “Lil” in the name. For instance Mother has The Weekend and The Lil Weekend style. Some of them are on sale right now.
Good news! Our AI overlords indicate that the original hem method of shortening jeans may work even better on Rag and Bone Miramar jeans than it does on denim. I’ve only used the method on denim but it sure looks like it would work well on Miramar.
It’s not just the length that is off.
It’s the rise and the placement of where the knees hit.
I much prefer a petite size.
The L’Agence jeans Bunsen posted.
Even the Mother jeans are too long.
My other issue is that I am very long waisted, so just about every pair of jeans, even “high” waist, hits me at or below my navel.
My dream pair would have a 27” inseam, no fading at the front, and a regular, not “petite” rise. My calves are also big, and many petite cuts also reduce the leg circumference. I’m a size 12 at the moment, so it’s not even that I’m very overweight. Sigh.
Just wanted to let you all know I finally bought some “cakes” breast covers. I am not huge and bought the triangular ones in the medium size. They worked well and even held things up a bit, but I want more coverage and hopefully more strength fit a boost. I got the sticky ones. So I orderes the largest.
I have some summer dresses that a strapless bra just won’t work because of cutouts or a lower back so I’ll use these.
They are pricey though. They said you get just 5 wears, but reviewers said you get more than that if you clean them after each use.
What are some favorite pajama brands. Several years ago my daughter bought me a set of Eberjey short and top pajamas. I’ve loved them and want to add another pair but they are $$.
I like the soma cool nights. Only when I find a good sale.
The ones that Nordstrom sells at their anniversary sale are pretty good also.
Definitely depends on what you like. I like a top and shorts.
I am not a fan of Lake but they must pay influencers a lot because they are always hawking them.
