I have a squirt bottle of argan oil. I use 3 squirts (my hair is thick and unruly) and then wipe the excess I’m my elbows (tip from hair dresser). I love it.

I bought the ponds cream mentioned in another thread for age spots, but it didn’t work for me.

I bought a cream with hydroquinone for the age spots. I’ll let you know how it goes. (If it doesn’t work I’ll investigate the light freezing option.)

What a great thread! Anyone have a facial cleanser they love? I’m running low on the aveeno product I’ve been using but, after washing my face, I find some make up residue on my towel and I don’t even use a lot of make up. My face can still break out on occasion so I’m looking for something oil-free.

Also, I keep reading about BB and CC creams but I’m not really clear what they are. I use an exfolliant, sunscreen, a vitamin C product and, periodically, a wrinkle cream…it seems like I use enough products but I hear about BB and CC products so often, it has me wondering.

I’ve been liking origins checks and balances but only in the summer. It’s too drying in the winter for me. I also like purity made simple by philosophy, I can use this all year.

I bought a bb cream, a naked line one from urban decay but I don’t see much difference. I also have vita zing by origins which I don’t think is a bb cream but it is tinted and I thought it was nice.

I like Smashbox BB cream - the light/medium shade blends very well with my pale skin with yellow undertones.

The best facial cleanser I have ever used - and I’ve tried many - is DHC Deep Cleansing Oil. It does not leave even a trace of oil, and it is the best product I’ve used to quickly and thoroughly remove makeup. I have oily/combination skin and it seems counterintuitive, but it works. It goes on dry skin - massage it in well - the oil emulsifies and rinses completely clean. It’s a very unique product.

Collage1- I like the Vichy BB very much. I put it on after applying Elizabeth Arden’s Good Morning serum and it evens my skin tone, substituting for foundation with a more natural appearance. I have the BB in light and medium colors, mixing them at times. Very easy to blend into the skin.

Gourmet mom - is that cleanser good for sensitive skin? I’m with collage - make up still on my ski and I don’t want to use a toner to remove it. I’m using cetaphil cleanser now.

Thanks for the suggestions – will go check out some of these products now. Also, it sounds like people use the BB cream in lieu of foundation. Is that right?

I use neutrogena healthy skin foundation. I started at a time when I seemed to break out more, generally in the chin area. Now, unless I use a new product that my skin doesn’t like, I really never have a problem and I do give some of the credit to this foundation. Since it’s working, and seems to provide adequate coverage (and is inexpensive to boot), I’m not sure I’d move away from it. Incidently, the 2 of my D’s that use foundation use the same one. It has salicylic acid in it.

Just providing an update on the hydroquinone cream experience…

I think cbreeze was right about needing the prescription strength (4%). The cream I tried was an over-the-counter 2% preparation, and it didn’t do anything. The age spots are still there.

I use Cetaphil to wash my face. Then I wipe my face with a glycolix pad for exfoliation purposes, citrix antioxidant pads, a moisturizer then Elta MD for sun protection.
