I won’t complain about our weather:). [Where’s the most perfect climate?](http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/06190/703926-37.stm)

TV weathermen unanimously say “70 or better” - I’m wearing a dress tomorrow! And my new fancy, pop-of-color shoes with 2" heels. I just could not resist the 60% off clearance rack full of glamorous shoes at the downtown Nordy’s.
Jeff, Steve and Rebecca, let’s hope you are right about tomorrow!

Alumother - after many trip cancellations, I’m finally going to San Francisco in a couple of weeks. Naracamicie SF, here I come! Something like this will look great with my new heels:

I would love the weather in Northern CA.!

There was an article on the new “skinny” cargo pants in our local newspaper today. $230. A good review…they’re supposed to flattering…and to make your butt look good. Some new japanese spandex fabric. They’re selling out EVERYWHERE. Anyway, not for me until I lose more weight

Like those tops BB. Pretty.

“Skinny cargo pants” sounds like an oxymoron! I love wearing a pretty white eyelet top when it’s super hot in mid summer.

I wore a pair of 505 jeans with legs rolled up to the calfs with a crisp white shirt. Haven’t been able to squeeze into them in years, so they made me feel young! They belonged to my nephew before he shot up to current over 6 foot height and are too short on me to wear unrolled. Does that make them boyfriend jeans?

LOL perhaps. I have never in my life had a body that would fit into a pair of man’s jeans. Thinking about all my gal pals through the years I’m not sure any of them ever wore man-jeans and we couldn’t wear jeans to school back then and by the time I was in college they made jeans for girls. The structure is so entirely different. I could “get into” my husband’s or kids’ Levis but I don’t think I’d ever actually “wear” them. The rolled up cuff thing my husband thinks it hilarious. Every time he sees someone with those rolled cuffs he makes a snotty comment and he rarely comments on female clothing choices but for some reason he is “anti-rolled up jean legs”.

BunsenBurner, have a wonderful time here! Say hi to Margaret for me if she’s in when you go. And you know, the last time I was there she kept all the white shirts together and I was sorely tempted. I love eyelet lace in a structured blouse.

Oh, and I wear boyfriend jeans a lot. But then, I have a somewhat boyish frame - broad shoulders, fairly narrow-hipped, etc., so they work better on me than pants that expect a lot of curves.

OK…pics would help on the skinny cargos. Here you go. I think they look OK.

Levis makes some skinny jeans for curvy figures that look pretty nice.

I love skinny jeans so much
I don’t know where I’d be without them since most jeans dont fit me :(

I think you can dress young if you know how to dress up right
The soccer mom/middle aged lady style with the jeans from the 90s and ugly capri pants are a no-no.

Neiman Marcus is clearing out their spring and summer stuff, too! In a week or so, I will report if I like the Gucci wedges that someone linked here on this thread. I just could not get them out of my head since I saw them. They are now about 60% off! Get them while they are still available! Now I’m all set for all sorts of formal occasions. :)

I do not like the look of those skinny cargo pants - all wrinkled and gathered around the knees. Have those people heard that pants could be hemmed?

that would have been me, BB. Did you get the black or the…what were they??? ivory?

off to check out the sale…

bunsen, where did you find them on sale?

Bunsen I’m with you…No emphatically no on the cargo skinny…yuck… Who the heck would want a fake pocket on the side of their knees? The pant pockets look like they are sliding down the models butt into the thigh region and don’t even get me started on the cocktail sandals. Oh my. I did buy a really nice pair of white thin leg ankle length jeans last week for casual office days. Will look wonderful with a seersucker blazer I have and tee. The thin leg I think is very flattering compared to the skin tight “skinny” look and fortunately my office is freezing so don’t mind my legs covered even in hot weather.

I have really long legs and no saddlebags so fortunately I can find those thin leg jeans that actually fit pretty well and because I’m short waisted the below the belly button styles these days are great for me (as long as the butt pockets aren’t heading south into the thighs LOL. I didn’t own any jeans during the waist high pleated and peg leg era that was a disaster for my body type so I just “missed” that decade but you sure do see it alot still in the grocery stores. Second to bathing suits I hate, hate trying to find “jeans”.

Have to meet DH’s new colleagues - Northeast, dinner at a home, they are saying casual. What does that mean exactly? Casual here really does mean casual. What does it mean there? Yikes. Too tired lately to contemplate fashion.

Can you name a city or general area? (NYC will be different from, say, Vermont) I think that will help us focus.

New Jersey - and not like the Housewives. Science types.

ok: northern jersey as in suburb of NYC?

(I promise I am not stalking you.)
