^^ You are very lucky. It smells like wind chill here…
I tried to buy more thermal underwear, but they were out.

LOL, syrstress! -5 here tonight. (not counting the wind…don’t want to even think about that!)

Another CCer with no shoulder to hold a bag. One year I went to NYC with someone who was buying bags for a store. In every showroom I would put the different bags on my shoulder and they would fall down to my wrist. I kept pushing for some crossbody bags.
I like sewhappy’s bag but want something smaller. Crossbody in a simple color that is big enough for iphone, wallet, and sunglasses but not huge.
67 and bright and sunny today.
I need color. I was talking with a friend and laughing about an Old Navy order that had been delivered. I ordered 4 white t shirts, 2 white sweaters, a black sweater and a gray sweater. Pathetic! I did buy a rust colored short sleeve t shirt at the J Crew outlet that I looks good with my skin tone.

I have sinned. I bought a turquoise dress at NR that fits like it was custom tailored for me. Of course, I had to make a lame excuse why I missed the 5:30 bus :D

mom60 - Kooba maked terrific cross-body bags. Here are some choices:

And here is my favorite one (it has 2 zippered compartments and a middle compartment with a magnetic closure for cell phone):

There are more last year’s models on sale.

Ahem, please pardon my iPhonics (or iPhonese???).

Fossil has some nice ones. I bought this one recently:

[FOSSIL® Handbags Crossbody Handbags:Womens Modern Cargo Organizer ZB4520](<a href=“Fossil USA - Watches, Handbags, Jewelry & Accessories”>Fossil USA - Watches, Handbags, Jewelry & Accessories)

I found it to be the perfect size for me. I’m short and some of the bigger bags look silly on me.

They have a good selection of crossbody bags:

[FOSSIL Women’s Crossbody Handbags](<a href=“Fossil USA - Watches, Handbags, Jewelry & Accessories”>Fossil USA - Watches, Handbags, Jewelry & Accessories)

Nice bags. Glad to know I’m not the only one out there with no shoulders. I tend to like big bags because I stuff a jacket and/or sweater into my bag, lunch, also the kindle, reading glasses, etc. I’m a pack horse.

Here is my recent dab of color - another Garnet Hill purchase. I bought it in the pink lilly color and am considering a second one in the yellow:

[Modern Merino Cardigan - Garnet Hill](http://www.garnethill.com/modern-merino-cardigan/womens-fashion/sweaters/view-all-sweaters/13115)

I had forgotten about Garnet Hill - use to get their catalogs and love their stuff. Thanks for the link.

I love the Garnet Hill catalog but I have only ordered sheets from them.
I like both of those crossbody bags. First reaction is the Fossil bag but if I want to get out of my bland rut the Kooba bag is out of my “box”. I find Fossil to be hit or miss. I like some of their bags but others remind me of those bags they used to cell in the sunday paper with all the outside pockets and compartments.

D2 recently bought a nice crossbody bag from the Coach outlet. It is very cute and was under $100. Came in several different colors.

NorthMinnesota- Last Saturday I stopped at the outlet mall on my way back home from being out of town. The parking lot was packed. I wanted to go to the Coach outlet to look for a wallet. After finding a parking place I walked over to Coach. There was a line out the door and around the corner just to get inside the store. I passed. At J Crew I asked the saleperson and she said that the Coach outlet is packed every weekend and they have so many customers that due to fire code they can only let so many in at a time. I was not willing to stand in line just to get in the door. Needless to say I still am looking for a new wallet. One that has the coin section in a place where I can actually get the money out.

I’m a big fan of Lodis wallets. I have this great big one (to go with my great big purses!) in red and black and my daughter has the little one in turquoise.

Ok…this is the bridesmaids dresses…in tangerine.
[Short Charmeuse Dress with Ruched Waist and Pocket - David’s Bridal](<a href=“Home Page - DBI”>Home Page - DBI)

The guys will be wearing silver tuxes with white shirts and the tangerine ties…no vests.

Would you have the girls wear white or silver shoes?

Definitely silver. White shoes are very difficult to pull off without looking dowdy, and silver will coordinate with the tuxes.

I seond Gourmetmom: silver, for the reasons she stated. Additionally, the girls will get more mileage out of their silver shoes - they can be worn to go out, dancing, for other special events.

Haven’t been around this thread in a while, but had a few minutes to catch up and HAD to reply to this. BunsenBurner responded ‘not really’ to this post, but let me tell you, I met BB last December and I’d switch figures with her any day of the week! Don’t let her tell you otherwise.

Thanks! D1 wants silver but 2 of the girls wanted white. She will stick to her decision! :)

NorthMinnesota - what an utterly gorgeous brides maid dress! Love it.

NM- I agree with your D - go with the silver shoes.

Oh, and I love the dress!

NMinn - I say yes to this bridesmaids’ dress, too! Absolutely lovely. Silver and orange will look gorgeous together! Is there any special reason she chose this particular color scheme? (You do not have to answer.)

Teri - awwww, thank you. I definitely look better than I used to - there were almost 30 pounds of useless weight hanging around my waistline and on my chest (although strategically placed spandex did wonders for me). I got back into shape mostly by lifting weights and paying attention to what I eat. I saw your arm muscles - keep going to those weight lifting sessions, and pretty soon I will be begging you to trade bodies with me :)

My “dressing young” dream came true! As I was cleaning my IE bookmarks, I clicked on an old link that I saved just in case and… here it was, one and only pair of gorgeous chocolate wedge boots, with rubber soles, on sale, and in my size!
[Gucci - Sofia Mid Wedge Boot - Neiman Marcus](http://www.neimanmarcus.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml?itemId=prod112480029&parentId=cat30670731&masterId=cat30190731&index=394&cmCat=cat000000cat30190731cat30670731)

It would have been pure insanity for me to pass this up! My Sofia boots are on their way, packaged securely in a big brown box which is being rushed to my house inside a UPS truck’s belly. I will have to return the other pair I just bought to justify paying the (still hefty) price. My shoe budget for the next year (and possibly longer) is now officially $0.
