…but apparently she wore her favorite Armani dress as a coat over that Gap T-shirt. :)

I think if the beading is truly minimal, the top should be fine, especially if a colorful sawl will be worn over it.

Ha! Industry people…haha…nope middle class suburbia wedding

Then you are fine!

Yes, I do that, too. When I get tired of my Armani dresses, I wear them as paint smocks… :D

Out and about today and dressed casually. Wearing boyfriend jean capris and a coral slouchy sweatshirt from EB (it is in the 40’s this morning) with a turquoise necklace and my Missoni/Target flats. Have gotten several nice comments! Surprised me! :)

You folks have finally pushed me to order from Zappos. Sadly, my bunions have gotten so bad that it seems now that C/Wide is insufficient; I now need D/EE/Extra Wide.
Anyway, that was the width of the shoes that I kept. One pair was so cute that DD wanted them! Due to the triangular feet, it looks like I am tethered to Zappos forever since I’m not sure that even Nordstrom’s carries much in extra wide. Not that Zappos is so bad – except for my pocketbook. I am also a weird bra size, so I also have my eyes on a Wacoal sports bra, since it would probably act as a minimizer and keep a few buttoned shirts of mine from gaping. . .

Once you figure out the styles, brands & sizes that work for you and buy a pair or two in your size, you can always search on-line for your size, brand & style on-sale. You may be pleasantly surprised. We found some great shoes for H that way. Couldn’t find them in any local shoe store, but since we knew the brand & style & size, we were able to find them on-line at a terrific discount on sale. He’s had them now for years and years. I believe he’s even resoled them!

I found some good show deals on endless dot com, also free shipping and returns

CCsiteObsessed, have you considered having your bunions fixed? It’s one of the smartest things I’ve done. My mom struggled with her bunions for her entire life and I vowed I would have mine fixed when the time was right. No pain and shoes fit properly…Just sayin’…

CCsiteObsessed, have you tried looking on 6pm dot com? It is the clearance site of Zappos, and some deals on there could be too good to pass.

The Missoni sale at Target was all over the news last night. The website did crash, and the stores were mobbed. Some items are already on ebay with the asking prices 10X what the sellers paid at Target.

terrific customer service and patient phone support (!)

^^Awesome, awesome place to buy all things underwear, I agree.

I don’t usually buy crossbody style bags. No offense to anyone who wears them, but we live in an area that is crawling with senior citizens and I associate this style with said females.

Recently, Nordstroms did an email ad that featured a couple of crossbody bags and I found one that I really, really like. It is labeled vintage and it does seem like something I might have owned in another decade.

[Fossil Vintage Re-Issue Flap Crossbody with Lock Brown - Zappos.com Free Shipping BOTH Ways](<a href=“Fossil vintage re issue flap crossbody with lock brown fossil + FREE SHIPPING | Zappos.com”>Fossil vintage re issue flap crossbody with lock brown + FREE SHIPPING | Zappos.com)

So, what’s the verdict? Is the retro aspect just a sign of my yearning to be 18 again? Will I start looking for saddle shoes and knee socks? Have I just crossed over to senior citizen territory? The big 6-0 is coming up and I don’t want to give myself away. I really like this bag in brown and in the black and brown.

WNP, FWIW, I wear cross body bags, and I do not think of them as “old lady items”. My D likes her cross body Kooba (stolen from my closet!) because it liberates her hands for texting and other similarly important things. I found a genuine WOC on the web which I wear crossbody.
*Marcie *bag by Chloe has been very popular for quite some time. You crossbody bag does look like it (sans high price) and can be worn with an outfit similar to the one shown in the link:

[url=http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/164171]Chlo

Yes, the fabric inserts would definitely be a hit with older gals.

BB - I know you have superb taste and I realized my avoidance of cross body bags was somewhat irrational but here in the heart of Amish land, I have this awful image of women alighting from their tour bus and heading into the ever-popular, all you can eat, smorgasbord with their capris and cross body bags (and yes the bags frequently are patterned). I will try to banish that image and replace it with a sleek, supremely fit runner with a Kooba bag. No one in the aforementioned group was holding a Kooba bag, I can assure you! :)

Gosh, should I go for the Chloe or the Fossil??

Just kidding!

Actually, I think I posted the cute bag I sent to DD who either carries a large tote or purse or goes without ANY bag - here it is again

And I knew she wouldn’t look frumpy!

LOL, wnp, thanks for the compliment! I surely did not look “sleek” or “fashionable” on my last run.
Although… To my horror, when we arrived, I discovered that I forgot to put my Ray-Ban sunglasses in my backpack full of GUs and other essentials! So I ended up running the entire 26.2 miles in my “designer” eyewear that I bought at Nordstrom Rack eons ago. Gucci makes great sunglasses for runners…
LOL!

The D and B bag is suuuper cute!

There are crossbody bags and there are cross body bags. The one you posted looks nothing like the one’s they sell in the Parade magazine that comes in the sunday paper. The one that the old lady buys that has a million pockets. I also love a crossbody bag. I find it helps my hips also as someone who has no shoulder I find it liberating not to be constantly pushing my bag back up onto my shoulder.
I bought this Cole Haan bag and my 17 year old wants it. [Cole Haan ‘Sheila’ Leather Crossbody Bag | Nordstrom](http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/cole-haan-sheila-leather-crossbody-bag/3141294?origin=category&resultback=1465) I have it in a brown leather.
[Jerome Dreyfuss “Twee” Brown Cross-body Handbag at Shirise](Shirise.com) I also have this one. It is larger and nice for when I want to carry more junk. The problem with the smaller crossbody bags is that my wallet and sunglasses barely fit.

I’ve always used a crossbody bag…easier to haul a briefcase in early career and a laptop in later yearrs, easier to unlock cars and in general gives you hands free. I felt much safe when I lived in big cities and used pubic transportation because I could swing them in front of my body so wouldn’t get pick pocketed. I’m partial to cross body bags that have a grab handle…first the Coach ones and now more “fun” colors and styles and designers. So I look for the long strap and the short strap. I’ve never equated my purses with “old ladies.” I find them, yes, liberating! I also have a Coach backpack bag and an ancient Dooney backpack bag that I use when we travel for vacation because I hate the idea of holding a purse and like the freedom of being able to stuff things instead of carrying things.
