Dressing Young (Part 1)

I am not a fan of the joggers. I have yet to see a guy in them but they were all over the stores so I guess it’s just a matter of time.

I think flare jeans can still work. And bootcut. I like having a variety of styles in my jeans.

Yes to jeans diversity!

I look awful in anything baggy so no jogger pants for me. I also don’t like flair jeans on me as I am very short and have very short legs.

I’m short and a bootcut or trouser jean is my go to…definitely avoids the dreaded triangle shape (shoulders thick to skinny ankles).

I was just cleaning out my closet and was about to throw away some jeans that I suppose could be considered flares.

I had them made from one of those custom jeans places several years ago and they came out too high waisted and too flared.

If I remember correctly, they were supposed to be boot cut, but I’m so tall the slight flare on typical boot cuts became super exaggerated as it continued on.

But high waisted with an exaggerated flare seems consistent with the new style, so maybe I should keep them.

I look sooo much better in skinny jeans, though.

I prefer bootcut jeans to skinny. I’m short and bootcut makes me seem taller.

Speaking of fashion… Colors, and by that I mean neutrals as well as bright colors, are such an important part of our lives and our wardrobes. And it is fascinating how some companies can make money by mixing dyes:

Posting while away on a holiday- I am seeing quite a number of males in 20-30 yr range in those dressier jiggers. Looks a bit like pajama pants to me. I’m not liking the style.

I’m so out of it. What are ‘joggers’?

they are pants with elastic at the bottom. But they aren’t just sweatpants material, I am seeing them in denim, camo etc

Ok, this is just… bizzare! Jogger dress trousers?! :))

I have to say I think joggers are really, really ugly.

Especially the leather ones - with the dropped crotch.

Thanks, they look similar to a big fad we had in Southern California many years ago. Baggier with elastic bottoms in wild patterns and cheap cotton. The most unflattering thing ever!

I can see bikers wearing these pants with elastic around ankles. Sophisticated? No.

They are very in for the upcoming/professional man in their mid 20-30’s from what I understand.

Those joggers look like they are cut with extra room for a diaper. Sorry, the baggy crotch thing is just ugly unless you are under the age of 2 and in Pampers.

Mr B said something like, “These pants look like the guy wore something that violated the dress code, and the principal made him change into a pair of sweats from the lost and found box.”

I need some comfortable, but somewhat stylish shoes for wandering around NYC. Shoes for fall are always a challenge me. Not too flat and certainly not heels. Boots aren’t that comfortable for me either. Any ideas??

Is there a specific price point? I usually recommend Paul Green brand for its comfort without much loss in style. But that brand is not cheap. Some PG shoes are 25% off at Nordstrom today due to price match.
