Went to a CAbi trunk show today and bought a pair of black slacks (which I needed) as well as a comfy cotton sweater, that I think is cute. They were NOT cheap but I believe they are great additions to my wardrobe and VERY comfortable. I think they will be great for travel!

Love the pants, HIMom! Ponte fabric is so comfy - it feels like wearing yoga pants. The wrap cardi looks very cozy and functional, too. Enjoy!
The funny thing is I really needed a pair of slacks as I realize that my old Ann Taylor slacks are started in age (after all these years). I have never been to a trunk show before and it was a bit odd since I didn’t know any of the other women other than the saleswoman. The other women had all worked together selling Avon, but they were friendly.
The other interesting thing is that there was one other woman who was tall and slender who also bought the same sweater wrap I did. Originally she and I were trying on and considering various other ones, but we both decided to get the same maroon/grey one. It’s quite different from anything I have but I think it will be nice and cozy and perfect for airplane travel. D approved both items after I showed her the links when I got home.

I like the maroon color, too. It is a great “neutral” color that goes well with greys, beiges, blacks, and browns.
It will help brighten up my drab dark clothing and should even work well with jeans.

I’ve ruined my chocolate brown cashmere sweater. Ugh! I wore it quite often and fear finding a replacement this time of year will be tough. It’s not necessary that it be cashmere; a blend or synthetic might work just as well. Not even opposed to a nice all-cotton. It was crew neck, long sleeved, button front…what I consider to be a classic cardigan. Looking for a deep, rich brown. Might consider a different style but it was very wearable and served as a staple in my wardrobe.
Any ideas about where to start my search?

Looked at Boden - no rich browns, but plenty of cashmere cardigans! I think there is not much on the web because the stores are quickly clearing out winter stuff after a disappointingly warm beginning of the season. Will keep looking!
