EF fabrics are amazing. I love EF cardigans (but I am picky), but I agree that the boxy clothes are not for all. IMO they look best on tall and relatively slim folks, which I am neither. EF sizes are quite generous. I go for xs or sometimes even xxs in her clothes (wear small or medium in other brands). The smaller EF sizes sell out quickly!
Not to change the subject, but I do notice that teenagers & college students focus more on wearing name brands, such as Nike & Adidas. Now, I don’t have a problem with this at all, but at the same time, would it be socially acceptable to wear clothing with “entertaining” quotes on them, as an adult?
To give you more of an idea, I’m talking about shirts that look like this:

I would not wear a shirt with words on it but plenty of people do.
I wanted to share my favorite purchase this summer. https://shop.nordstrom.com/s/zella-post-studio-dress/4750068?origin=category-personalizedsort&breadcrumb=Home%2FBrands%2FZella%2FWomen%2FClothing&color=black I think it is also a great price.
The fabric is very soft, thick enough that you don’t feel like your exposing every jiggle of your body. It’s very figure flattering. I bought it in black. Hangs great. It’s advertised as a after workout piece but I’ve worn it out to dinner with flat sandals. You can add a cardigan if it’s cool or I’ve styled it with a lightweight denim blouse to give me a bit of warmth on a cool evening. I also have worn it with slip on sneakers as a run around town dress.
Does anyone else have a piece of clothing they bought this summer that they love?
^^^Very cute but I think the hem tie thing would drive me crazy! I like the fit and styling though otherwise.
Surprisingly I haven’t bought much this summer except for a few pieces early in the summer at Sierra Trading Post. I did buy a sleeveless tweed dress that is oh so soft at TJ Maxx that I will wear a lot this fall. Will look great with black leggings/tights.
Agree about the tie! I would chop it off.
My good buys were the lace hemmed jeans and the striped Max Mara dress from Nordstrom that I posted here a while back. I wore them multiple times this summer.
Here is the dress:

The jeans are these in olive/khaki color:

So soft and buttery! Like a second skin. I wore them today to our “wine country” - perfect paired with a white cotton blouse.
RE Costco and name brand shoes @MomofWildChild @BunsenBurner …after buying some Pumas there, I wonder if when they have these deals, it is a lower-quality shoe that the brand makes specifically for discounters. I bought my D and myself a pair of white Puma sneakers at Costco, and hers fell apart after a few months, and mine after about a year. Later, tried on some Adidas suede sneakers at Costco and they were really uncomfortable, then for fun I tried the same looking pair on at a shoe store and they felt much better. I’m not sure if it is counterfeit, but this experience tells me that they aren’t really the real thing either.
I’m not the tagged posters but sure, it’s possible the Costco models are a lower end model of the brand. Bigger brands like Puma or Adidas are going to have a whole range of footwear from very basic and lesser materials to higher end.
I wouldn’t call this counterfeit just not the higher end models.
Also I’d say depending how much you wear them a year with an athletic shoe may just be the life of a shoe.
They were probably made for outlets or the overseas market.
So, with the small electrical house fire, I had 2 weeks of emergency clothing to give their cleaners. When I get it back, they had shrunk or ruined 14 items. I was/am sick! Some were favorites. Thankfully I was able to order two jumpsuits that were still online. I was able to stop them from cleaning the remainder of my clothing…which is 100% of my clothing. They are just going to press most and give back and the master bedroom clothing they will DRYCLEAN only!!
Anyway, I’ve been searching for some summer sale items to replace the things I have. I found one dress almost identical to one I had (and had only worn once!) I’ll just need to have it hemmed. Got it for $15 at loft. They have a huge sale right now. I wanted a white dress that was a little swingy. It runs huge, so if you are interested… I typically wear an 8, but bought the 6 and probably could have fit in a 4 or 6P…and I’m not petite cut.
What is the cleaner offering to pay you for the damage they caused? That’s a lot of clothing that you can’t wear! Cute dress and really great price!
Replacement value, what I put down.
Smoke damage amplifies fire damage… dang cleaners! At least you were able to get some replacements. I would be livid if my closet was ruined.
In fashion news… L&T was sold…

And more and more retailers are turning to clothes rental business model.
Just bought these booties this morning. DSW has 20% off online and 25% off in the stores today (but you have to mention it).
I already have animal print pumps, and am debating getting some booties for more casual, but bought these for now in the dark animal print. A bit more understated. They come in wide, which is a bonus for me!
It’s the second color choice, I can’t wait to get them.

Super cute @conmama
Just bought a pair of wide leg crop jeans, which I swore looked ridiculous when they first came out. Now I think they are still trending and I love the alternative to skinny jeans, especially in warm weather. I really don’t like the feel of most skinny jeans and these are comfortable. Dare I say they look hip? Let me know if I am off-track and should return them! https://www.loft.com/wide-leg-crop-jeans/513456?skuId=28161622&defaultColor=5193&catid=catl000015
That’s truly Dressing Young! Keep them!
@surfcity love them, especially paired with black!
