I get it…the long cardigan in grey/pink that many here wanted or bought one year.
Coatigan!!! I saw a beautiful one last week someone was wearing at a conference. It was creme with a think red “plaid” - it was so, so pretty!
@conmama I was influenced to buy that coatigan after seeing it here . In fact, I almost wore it to dinner a week or so ago, but decided it was not quite chilly enough yet.
I believe for it to not be too hot to wear , it needs to be 50 or below. Perfect for a sunny and chilly day walking the Magnificent Mile. Because of the thickness, I can’t wear it indoors, so now I save it as a fashionable coat weather permitting.
Has anyone here bought Vessi shoes/boots? I am tempted to get a pair of waterproof sneakers.
If you have them, how is the fit? Comfort?
TIA
My SIL bought a pair for her recent trip to Corsica. She got the Boardwalk slip-ons in blue. She’s usually a Merrell wearer but was looking for something a little lighter but still waterproof. She was very happy with them.
@Googie31 - thanks!
Anyone happy about any of these? I am….the first one, big pearls! I have an obnoxiously huge 3 layered Pearl, Gold, silver necklace that I kissed and stored away for 10 years now. Pearls are huge right now. I’m wearing that baby with a cream turtleneck medium chunky sweater I received for xmas. Those Slim bootcut jeans from Express discussed above and ivory pointed toe booties.
I was wondering why my son’s GF was just wearing one earring. Not. a fan of that trend.
Can’t say I’m excited nor do I like any of the stated trends - def not the sea life!!! The pearls are fine though there is a bridge too big at some point for my tastes. I’d love to see a pic of that signature pearl necklace you’ve stored for years!
No huge excitement here either. I don’t like giant, flashy, bling things. Choker necklaces and reasonably sized pearls are OK. The former can be used to disguise neck wrinkles
Oh my. Not a fan. But I did think the face tattoo ? on the last bottom left model was interesting.
!! But it is a good excuse for using the earrings that lost their “mate.”
Some asymmetrical earrings are fun. Like a cat’s butt “sticking out” of one earlobe and the cat’s face “sticking” out of the other earlobe.
Generally I don’t follow trends much, especially for jewelry. I just wear what I like (which for jewelry is mostly from my mother and husband’s childless aunt - hers a lot of Avon stuff). But…seeing mention of statement rings, I may take another look at the aunt’s stuff, which fills up most of a jewelry armoir. She liked those.
I’ll post a pic with that sweater soon. You guys will hate it, I can already tell. That’s why I’ll post it! Lol! Can’t wait for the comments. Wore it to The Polo Bar in NYC the last time I wore it. Joe Biden was VP and was there. Secret service all over, wanding us before we could enter. He said “ that’s a lot of metal there, ma’am”.
I wouldn’t say my necklace is understated by any means. Mr. T, anyone?
Actually I just want to see it cause I KNOW you can pull it off!
I like big statement jewelry, but I think it works better on taller people. I am not tall.
Bumping this up
I want to like Poshmark and buy thrifted clothing.
I find that it’s difficult. Finding the right size. Not flattering, there are lots of reasons.
But number 1 is the strong detergent smell.
How do you get it out? I got an item today, it’s so cute, fits well. But stinks to high heaven!
Another question.
Any tips for keeping a strapless bra in place?
Strapless bras are supposed to stay in place. If the bra doesn’t stay in place, it is likely a wrong size or a wrong style. I’d go to Nordstrom for a fitting or find a bra boutique that carries premium brands like Chantelle and try a few strapless styles.
I have a nice Wacoal strapless bra that has grippers on the top and bottom.
It’s the correct size. Was fitted.
I’m the problem, not the bra.
I think I need to trust that the bra won’t move around
