I haven’t tried it but the internet seems to swear by a product called ā€œKids ā€œNā€ Petsā€ a stain and odor remover. Available at Amazon or Walmart. Comes as spray and in large sizes for laundry use.

If it’s that bad, go have it dry cleaned.

Have you tried the Wacoal red carpet strapless bra. I agree with bunsenburner. It shouldn’t move around if the band is fitting you properly. However, unlike a normal bra…it will feel very tight.

I have the Wacoal convertible red carpet bra.

I’ve never worn it because I’ve always been too afraid that I would keep pulling it up. I hate when I see people do that. So I’ve always picked out pieces that I can wear a regular bra with.

My MOB dress is a halter. I love the dress enough to wear the strapless bra

But once it’s on, and I’m dressed it feels secure.

I’m nervous! It’s me!

I can get away with a latte colored Tom bra from Marie Jo worn halter style with my halter dresses! Maybe something like this would work for you if you are afraid the Red Carpet wouldn’t stay in place?

I hate wearing them, too, but need to in the summer…often. I have a couple sizes of the red carpet bra depending on my weight fluctuations. Also, I need a new one as my go-to keeps falling down like you said. But when it was new, and fit…it didn’t budge. I find I have to order several different ones with different band sizes and cup sizes. It’s such a pain.

The Lycra in the bra wears out eventually and the bra becomes looser. That’s why the bra fitters always use the first row of hooks when they test the fit. The other rows are there for fit adjustments as the band stretches…

Last year, my #2 MOB choice was a halter. I was surprised to find that I could use a regular bra (black)…. clip the straps together in back of neck. I think I used a barrette. But the cut of the dress made that easier than some other halters.

I’ve had good luck washing overly scented clothing using half a cup to a cup of baking soda added to the laundry then rinsing twice. If your item is washable, then I’d try that before taking to the cleaners - but maybe that’s because I can be cheap and not just frugal.

I wonder if some Poshmark sellers (or eBay or whatever) are so concerned with sending fresh clothes that they are over using detergent OR using something like Febreeze or. Bounce when they store them at home until selling. My H does this with some eBay stuff he sells - I can’t stand the smell of Febreeze type products or strong dryer sheets. Saturated sometimes!

I bought the red carpet bra last month and I don’t know if I’ve ever worn/purchased a strapless before. I was told to wear the back ā€œwaistā€strap VERY high - higher than what I’ve been wearing daily bras. It was uncomfortable at first but honestly once I put my halter on I didn’t think twice about it. And I’m not small - it was a 34DD.

That’s a good observation, because I find the strong detergent smell quite a bit. I should stick to NWT.

Good tip about wearing the bra.

But if you love it, just have it professionally cleaned. The price still may be much less than a NWT item.

I acquired the Wacoal red carpet bras based on the recommendation of @conmama

I went down one band size and, as she, have them in two different sizes - both one cup and two cup sizes larger than I normally wear.

WHBM is having a 30% off sale, plus I have a $25 rewards. I went to the store, the inventory is really cute right now. I’ll link what I bought, but it’s much much prettier on and in person, surprisingly. Most of the time the stock pics make clothes look better, but not the things I bought. I went on a shopping spree Wednesday.

This skirt is so much more beautiful in the store.

I’ll be receiving this in the mail this weekend. Bought the red.

I could have bought so many other things, but I needed to stop.

Thanks conmama! I tried on some gorgeous black pants there and we weeks ago but they were a little pricey - will check out!

Black pants is one item I don’t mind splurging on… if I love em. Better yet if they pack well for travels. About 6 years ago after I lost some weight I gritted my teeth bought some nice NYDJ black jeans from a local ladies shop. Wore them lots and still have them.

Thank you! I’m wearing the white dress tonight. I’m wearing it with either my tan Steve Madden silver studded block heel sandals or a pair of soft gold espadrille wedge sandals with a lower wedge. The first is a bit more dressier than where we’re going, but as my former SIL and still one of my best friend)always said ā€œI don’t mind being the best dressed in a roomā€. Lol!

Looking for a light weight and more trendy palazzo pants? I found these at Dry Goods with cutouts. Adorable, gauzy fabric. The reviews read they shrank, but I don’t wash clothes like this. I’ll spot clean, so I’m not considered. Plus, it’s rayon….you don’t wash rayon in a machine. A fitted white tank and there you go!

I have a question. I would like a pair of white sandals for an upcoming beach vacation. I have a low volume, slim but but narrow foot. In a size 6, most narrow widths start in a larger size.

I got these sandals yesterday. They feel secure once I have them on. They gape. I hate that I can’t wear them out and about and then decide if they fit.

What would you do? Keep looking? I have a pair of mephisto’s in white that fit but the footbed is cork and I’m thinking they wouldn’t work well at the beach

Sorry for the foot picture. I do have my nails painted :joy:
