When shoes are too wide on me, that means blisters. Personally I wouldn’t chance it and would keep looking. FWIW, the people in our family with narrow feet all swear by Cole Haan. They have some pretty sandals that are also adjustable in all directions.
I would keep looking. Those are really cute, but they look ill fitting.
I have the exact same issue with a very low volume instep. That looks like too much gaping to me. Sometimes I put pads under the arch strap if there is a smaller disparity. If I can slide my fingers in the gap, I move on. I’ve had good luck with Bernardo sandals.
I think it’s the gaping on top of her foot she may be talking about.
I have a version of these and they fit me really well. There’s one pair of size 6 left and a great price.
Those are cute!
Probably none as stylish as shown by @deb922, but folks should be aware that sketchers has MANY different kinds of sandals. Lots are flats, some dressier. A style similar to this has worked very well on my narrow-ish foot, due to elastic straps

Update: Sketchers site has almost 200 styles of sandals, mostly quite casual. Here is a link filtered to the 19 “fashion” choices

I am no fashionista at all whatsoever, but this was interesting. No gift link, sorry.
These look cute but I agree they are a poor choice for a tropical vacation because they will almost certainly cause blisters. Look for something with very soft uppers. Slides style sandals work well IMO.
Just a thought. My friend with small and narrow feet occasionally shops children’s sandals. You will probably be a size 37 Euro.
I also have narrow, low volume feet and the problem with slides is that it’s hard to find any that will not slide right off of feet like mine.
So YOU’RE the person who can get those great buys on the clearance section wearing a size 6!! . Tiny feet!
What does “low volume” mean on foot/shoes?
Slides are difficult as @fallgirl said. A toe bar helps if they don’t have a back.
Depending on the shoe, I’m a 36 or a 37.
I’m looking for a flat sandal in white that won’t get ruined if they get wet.
These are the mephisto’s that I have. Which would be perfect except the sole is cork. And could work and may be the solution.
But I’m trying for a pair of sandals that I can wear with dresses and won’t be ruined if they get wet.
Also thanks for the feedback. I was so optimistic but they don’t fit my feet.
I have gigantic feet (women’s size 13, men’s size 11) and I wear Croc slides outside as soon as it’s no longer below freezing and inside all year long (with compression knee-highs or leg sleeves of course!).
Low volume means that your foot does not fill out the shoe. "Volume " refers to how much space your foot takes up in a shoe.
Example:
My feet are big (9.5 or 10) but straps are usually too loose (even when tightened as much as possible).
I can either find great shoes on clearance. Or no shoes if I’m looking for something in particular.
In the day, navy pumps were impossible to find.
I totally agree - I can’t keep a slide on my foot to save my soul.
Interesting. The “slides” I meant never slide off my relatively low volume feet. You have to have an upper or straps covering almost the entire top of the foot and at least a small heel. That way, the sandal is always firmly on the foot. Totally flat ones would not work. Here is an example of a slide on sandal that stays put very well:
Definitely NOT a good example of a shoe price I’m willing to pay
For pumps, Manolos are great for narrow feet, but they are $$$$…
Your Memphistos are very nice! I’d say pretty dressy for an island vacation. I’d totally wear them. I don’t think cork would be a problem.
Thanks. I like them and they are comfortable.
I can’t believe I posted pictures of my feet! The depths I have sunk to.
Taos makes sandals that have Velcro straps you really don’t notice, so work for my narrow-ish feet.
