Any info, visit reports on these schools as relates to MT? Thanks!
Also I cant seem to find a link for Drew’s MT curriculum. Florida Southerns seems to indicate not a lot of dance, does anyone know for sure?
Drew is a straight theater program, not MT per se. It is a BA program.
Drew’s theatre department is part of the dance department. They do one musical a year. They offer private voice lessons and a semester on Broadway. PM me if you want more info. My daughter is a sophomore there. They also have several a cappella groups.
Thank you both, @bisouu I PM’d you.
Florida Southern is very small but the facilities on the web look beautiful and they encourage roles right from freshman year, that sounds good.
@bisouu, what do you mean they offer a semester on Broadway?
Thanks @DVCmember I did mean to ask that.I am guessing an internship?
I also wondered what “a semester on Broadway” meant at Drew. Perhaps she means this:

Here’s there summer program and I will find the semester one…still hunting

Also the Shakespeare Theater Company of NJ is housed right on campus.
“To intern or apprentice with the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, a professional (Actors’ Equity) company in residence right on campus. STNJ offers an exciting season of old and new classics throughout the summer and fall, as well as formal and less structured educational opportunities year round, giving valuable, first-hand experience of the professional theatre.”
@bisouu so smart to take advantage of their location by offering those type of programs. What a great opportunity especially for those kids who do not live around the area so dont get to experience Broadway often. So if there is no set MT major do the kids create thier own program by including voice and dance classes? Is that what your D is doing or is she there for theater?
Perhaps my D will at least take a look.
Anyone with Florida Southern info?
My daughter is a straight actor…
