I have no idea!
Awesome! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for sharing! Fingers crossed for notification today, and claiming good news for all the applicants!
I do not have insta. Does it say “today” or just “soon”
Actually, the text of the IG post is exactly what JoMa9 posted above. Based on the message, I’m thinking we should start receiving decisions today
Oh gosh. Thanks. We just checked the portal and nothing is there yet. But it sounds like something will be coming through soon. Today would be cool, but even if not, it seems like we don’t have long.
Thank you.
Hello! Do you have any idea what time Drexel sent out early action decisions?
It was in the afternoon, maybe 4 or 5pm.
We still have nothing in the portal
Last year, we attended an admitted student day with our daughter in January. It was so impressive and the panel with professors and students from her major cemented the deal. When we went to lunch at Lascala’s Fire (highly recommend!), She announced that she didn’t need to wait for any other of her acceptances;she wanted to head over to admissions to commit right then and there!
Also when we first went to tour Drexel on an Open house it was also so well run and impressive that I don’t think you need to worry about choosing either event-plan around your schedule.
If you want a really great hotel that has an amazing restaurant right on campus stay at The Study.
me neither. I don’t think the decision will be coming out today anyways or else it should have been released by now!
have any RD students started getting their decisions?
no decision yet
So, I understand patience is a virtue, a watched pot never boils, etc. etc. However, I’m not clear why Drexel would post an ambiguous IG message saying to keep an eye on your applicant portal, but 24 hours later, no decisions have been released. They have to know how anxious its applicants (and families) are, especially under RD, and this only adds to the stress. Candidly, they should only have made that post if a)it included specific decision release date, or b)they were releasing decisions that day.
someone in the drexel reddit forum wrote that and admission officer told them that thursday would be the day
I totally agree. DS was deferred so we went through this ridiculousness in December also.
I agree with marmaduke that this is a strange choice. The cryptic IG three days before actual decisions seems premature. They are probably getting pounded with calls and e-mails.
Ah well. We’ll know soon enough.
To be honest I’d rather get a rejection than an admission along with an aid package that isn’t close. (Barring a lucky break, Drexel is as much of a reach financially as it is academically.)
Agree
Thursday??? Geez. If that’s the day, why not just share that? I am a Philly native, though I no longer live there, so I’ve always been very aware of Drexel and believe it would be a great place for my son who wants to become a software engineer. If you go by the various “will you get in” calculators out there, he’s just above the line for acceptance, so we’re definitely sweating it out. I continue to be impressed with everything I’ve read about Drexel, and he seemed to really like it when we visited. He’s a bit agnostic about where he goes - just wants a reputable school, in an urban/suburban area, a reasonable distance from home (his sister is graduating this spring from a college 8 hours away) with a good program in the field he’s interested in. The co-op program is unique and valuable in its own right, but I am concerned however, about cost, which is more than a stretch barring a substantial award.
