Congrats. if you dont mind sharing what were his other 2 choices. Thanks
D24 got acceptance today Music Industry/MBA accelerated program.
25.7K scholarship. Still expensive 58K.
She got into other 2 top choices in EA
Sure - he is applying to Villanova and potentially Holy Cross. He currently has EA acceptances with good merit packages from SHU, Xavier, Catholic, and Stetson and acceptances to some state schools. We’ll know tomorrow if Villanova is end game for him!
Admitted to LeBow School of Business with a Presidential Scholarship ($37.5K/year).
See you here again. My son is also accepted for 3+3 BS/DPT along with Honor college. I read the details on their program and found no guarantee of it. It’s a bridge program which only grant the interview to DPT program when all requirements met. Not a real 3+3 direct admit program like Quinnipiac or Seton Hall. Same here that we are not impressed with campus and city itself.
Yes, we learned about the bridge program on our visit. We did the regular tour and the health school tour. I did speak with one of the admissions folks afterward, and the sense that I got was that if he met the quals for the program, he would almost assuredly get into the grad level program as they set you up for that. But, it is a risk, nevertheless, I suppose. We learned that Elon is the same way when we visited-still have to apply and interview. Drexel does offer more diversity than most of the other schools we visited. He didn’t mention whether he got into Honors or not. He did at Quinnipiac, and offered the opportunity to apply for a leadership program at Seton Hall. I’m not sure if he is interested in either, worried that it will be too much while being in an accelerated program.
Where else has your son applied?
My Son got accepted into music industry (not mba though) with same scholarship amount- and yes- still expensive! Still waiting on prescreen/audition results elsewhere!
For combined or direct admit, he applied following:
BU 6 years BS/DPT
Drexel Bridge 3+3 BS/DPT
Quinnipiac 3+3BS/DPT
TCNJ+TJU 4+3 BS/DPT
NYIT 3+3 BS/DPT
For regular admission:
Pitt Pre-PT
UDel Pre-PT
Purdue Pre-PT
SUNY Stony Brook Health Science
Northeastern Health Science
Rutgers Art&Science to be Pre-PT track (also need to apply and interview after)
NJIT Accelerate BS/DPT (also need to apply and interview after)
hi @mK7402 and @NJcollege2021 would you mind sharing your kids’ stats who got into the MIND program? a couple of us here have kids who are deferred. It’ll be good to know what they are looking for and congrats to both of your kids! MIND is very selective as I understand it, like under 10% acceptance. thank you
Hi. My daughter got accepted for the First Year Exploratory program, and got a $26,700 Dean’s Scholarship. Does anyone on this forum know if that is renewable - does she get that every year? And what if tuition goes up (which of course it will)? Does the award also go up? Thanks.
Oh, sure!
GPA 3.9
SAT 1410 Superscore

All of these programs are so competitive- it’s crazy!!!
He had an audition at Frost (Miami) on 12/2
Interviews scheduled at Jacobs (IU) and Michigan for January and a no from USC Thornton
Hope that helps! Good Luck!!
thank you so much for all the detailed info. Very helpful indeed. Good luck for all the upcoming applications. My kid is also in the running at Frost and Thornton also was a no. We shall see!
That’s awesome about Frost! did you have your audition already? Which program? my son auditioned for media scoring and production. he loves Miami! we would just need a ton of money to make it work!
where else did your child apply?
it’s a wild ride for sure!
I believe the MADE program? It’s the music industry program that gives you a Bachelor of Music so you have to audition.
She also got accepted into LMU’s SFTV (which is supposedly the impacted major) for the Recording Arts major (which is their version of music production major, but happens to be a part of the School of Film and TV)
thank you!
thank you for sharing!
DS was admitted in December and we are planning out admitted student visits. How different are Drexel’s admitted student days compared to their open house for prospective students (which was also specific to the school he applied to)? Worth it to attend?
How good is Drexel Music Industry program and Job prospects ?
Do they have good connections and network to grow in the field and career ?
I have no idea!!
Did you hear anything from IU audition/interview and Miami Audition ?
