Drexel or Syracuse or Santa Clara University?

I need to pick one of those schools to use as my safety. Which one would best fit me?

I’m interested in studying Engineering. I’d prefer an middle sized school (under 10,000) and I like small class sizes. I prefer a campus environment near an urban area. I’d also like some diversity. I like schools that have a strong school spirit and a good social life. I do like parties, but not on a regular everyday basis and I don’t drink. The benefits of Drexel and Syracuse is that I can drive to those schools. Which has the best aid? Which has the best employment opportunities?

Bump cmon guys someones gotta have some idea.

Drexel has the coop program, so you’ll have two paid work experiences before you graduate. Many students get job offers from their coop companies.

What kind of engineering, and what geographic region do you want to work in?

For example, if your goal is to work in a Silicon Valley computer company, Santa Clara would make looking for jobs much more convenient for you, and likely attract more recruiters since it is local. [Santa Clara does have a co-op program](Search Jobs & Internships - Career Center - Santa Clara University), although it is optional and not an integral part of the curriculum like it is at Drexel.

Of course, cost and financial aid are important considerations as well.

Note that all three consider “level of applicant’s interest” (Syracuse considers it “very important”) in freshman admissions. This signals that they do not like being used as safeties and that admission is not necessarily automatic for “overqualified” applicants.

Hi I’m thinking about Civil or Aerospace Engineering, most likely civil. I’m not really sure which graphical region, but I do like to travel and work in many places. Which has more flexibility? Thanks for answering btw.

You may want to do web searches for where aerospace companies and organizations have engineering sites. E.g. Santa Clara is near Lockheed - Martin, Bae, and NASA.

Of course, civil engineering is done everywhere.
