Has anyone gotten a call for an interview with Princeton?

I got an e-mail about 4 days ago.

My son received an email on New Year’s Eve for an interview that day or the next–he had a wonderful alum and felt very good about his interview–a great start to 2010!! :)

I had my interview January 6th. It’s definitely not anything to worry about as it’s very casual. He just asked me why I wanted to go to Princeton, but after that he asked if I had questions for him. If anything, it’s just a good way to get acquainted with the school. Good luck!

definitely don’t stress about the interview; it really can only help your application, and it’s just a nice chance to talk to an alumni who can answer questions you have about the school. Princeton alums tend to be really enthusiastic (Reunions here on campus are CRAZY every spring), so I’m sure whoever you talk to will be happy to tell you all about their great experiences here.

Also, if any of you are in search for more genuine information about Princeton than is evident on the school’s website, I recommend that you check out The Princeton University Press Club’s blog, www.universitypressclub.com. The blog has daily postings about campus goings-on, Princeton in the news, and all of the little idiosyncrasies that make Princeton such a great place. As an undergraduate, I use the site a lot, and I know that if I’d been aware of it during my application process, it really would have helped increase my interest in the school and vanquish all those pre-frosh fears I had about Princeton’s social scene.
