Should I drink coffee on exam day? Does coffee help you concentrate on your exam? do you think it helped you improve your grade?
If you have an early morning exam and you need caffeine as a wake up booster, go for it. Otherwise, it doesn’t really do anything, at least in my experience. I once drank coffee during a midterm test, and while it gave me confidence, in the end, I flunked that test because I didn’t study properly for it (and since it was multiple choice, I had a bit of a difficult time with some of the questions, like the ones where two answers seem correct but you can only pick one).
I rather doubt that coffee is going to help improve your grade. I drink coffee every morning, but that’s primarily because I enjoy drinking coffee. If you don’t regularly drink coffee, and then drink a bunch of coffee one morning…odds are that it’s just going to give you a caffeine buzz and make you jittery.
Aerobicizing seems to work well. I used to run stairs during breaks Wonder if there are still opportunities to do that?
Coffee helps people who drink coffee on a regular basis to concentrate and coffee COMPLETELY DESTROYS people who don’t drink it on a regular basis.
When you drink coffee for the first time in a while you get jittery for a few days; you have to ease your way back into it. I started drinking it last year and I was jittery for exactly one week and then I stopped over the summer and I was jittery for exactly one week after starting it up again. If I’d waited until my first exam to start drinking it I’d have failed it.
Coffee isn’t like riding a bike, it’s like exercise. It’s hard for a few days and then it’s easy until you stop for a long time (like over the summer break) and then it’s hard for a few more days while you get used to it. Again, if you drink it on a regular basis then it really helps with exams and if you haven’t had it in a while or you drink one cup a week then it really just makes things worse.
I eat a meal of chicken nuggets and fries and wash it down with an energy drink before an exam.
Don’t do anything too differently than you usually do…if you are not used to caffeine you will just feel like your heart is racing. Also time it well…you don’t want to have to go to bathroom in the middle of an exam.
I don’t think it would help/hurt you but if it’s a long exam, I wouldn’t drink too much because its effects on the bladder.
