Droid phones??

Getting a new phone at end of month. Contemplating one of the Verizon Droids…any thoughts or experience with them?

My son absolutely loves his Motorola Droid phone with Verizon service. He has had it for about 8 months and has had absolutely no problems with it at all. He is very tech savvy and spends much of his waking time on the darn thing.

Love my Motorola Droid (Verizon). No problems whatsoever. And I am the least tech savvy
person west of the Pecos.

The Droid X looks amazing. If you can get one of those, you should be more than happy.

i love my droid, its great. the google maps navigation app is better than my tomtom. i dont really have any complaints. my mom doesnt love her those, but she is far from tech savvy so that might be why

I could repeat the comments made by “mom2010grad” in post 2. Son loves his Droid. I would like to get one, but will have to keep my Blackberry until next spring.

any comparisons btwn the droid and the iphone? esp in terms of ease of use…

Son had an iphone----it had too many dropped calls. AT&T service appears to be inadequate in the area around in school. He now has the Droid Incredible via Verizon and he loves it.

Checked out the Droid X the other day at Costco, and I’ll be grabbing one of those phones come August, when my family is switching carriers from AT&T. Looks amazing, and as a comp sci major, it will be a nice device to practice making apps and such. for the iPhone, I’d have to buy a $500+ kit to even get started with app making :/

I have the Droid LG Ally. I’ve only had it for a month, but so far, so good.

@Mom111…a thread I posted a couple of weeks ago. I am now eagerly awaiting August 11, when I am eligible for a new phone & will have my Droid Incredible!!

I Love my motorola droid. The new droid x does not have a physical keyboard is a bigger. The older motorola droid has a physical keyboard.

Great for navigation, web browsing, games, email. Oh, and to make phone calls also.

My coworker just got a Droid Incredible. He had a Blackberry Storm. He loves his Droid and it looks really nice, fast Internet and Browsing. He is very happy with all the App. There is the Incredible and the X. I believe the X is a slide phone and the Incred. is a touchscreen. Verizon service.

Thanks all…I had an iPhone in the past but abandoned it because of all the dropped calls on ATT, though I liked the interface (simple, clear). Don’t think I can hold out for the iPhone to come to Verizon… Based on all the advice, here, I will go ahead and switch to Droid. In terms of ease of use, any thoughts on the Incredible versus X? (from what I understand X is touchscreen).

My daughter just got the X with verizon. It is touchscreen. She loves it. It takes amazing photos. I was amazed how quickly she figured out how to use it. It is a tiny computer.

I have an Incredible that I am very happy with. It is all touch screen.

We have the Nexus and love it.

The Droid Incredible is fully touchscreen. Son (phone fanatic) loves it. The X is bigger so don’t order it until you’ve actually seen it and held it in your hand. IMO–The Incredible is the perfect size.

I just love mine! especially, the 3G mobile Hotspot (palm also has it, but the battery is just horrible). Internet companies would be obsolete soon.
