I went to University of Den Haag for 2004 - 2005, dropped out with horrible grades and moved back to the U.S. Been attending CC ever since with a 3.81 GPA (never bothered transferring my grades).

Will this hurt my chances of getting into Haas Business School? When I submit my resume it will show that I was in Den Haag. Will they tell me that I have to show them my transcripts from Den Haag Uni?

lol u never shouldve even mentioned that place, im sure they wouldnt look into international records on their applicants, but its cool, u were honest, thats good, the world needs more honesty

Don’t risk leaving off academic history information. It’s foolish and it’s irresponsible of anyone to suggest this option to you.

Sure, maybe it will never be caught, but if it is then you will risk everything: acceptance offer, enrollment, and even any degree you might complete even years down the road. It is fraud to knowingly withhold information and the UCs have the right to rescind everything if they learn of this.

As for “resume,” I have no idea what you mean. Are you referring to an actual resume like one that is created for job applications? If so, no. There is an application that becomes available to submit November 1-30 to apply for the following fall quarter that you will use to provide your personal information including your academic history. But I guess, in a sense, it is similar in regards to some of the information provided on a resume. However, the application goes into far more detail and there is nothing you need to construct. You simply need to fill in the information electronically.

“lol u never shouldve even mentioned that place;” “If I leave off that I studied in abroad in Holland for one year”

The next Bernie Madoffs and Raj Rajaratnam. :)

“Don’t risk leaving off academic history information. It’s foolish and it’s irresponsible of anyone to suggest this option to you.”

I agree. Eventually, people get caught-most of the time from discrepancies. Liars and criminals fall someday. Personally, I would do the “right” thing and list it. Save me the paranoia. Besides, being honest might help you. And I am sure they will see your improvement and your cultural experience is a plus. Just explain why you did bad.

“As for “resume,” I have no idea what you mean.”

Probably the resume you have to do for Haas Business School.

Okay, I’m feeling a little better. I’ll cross this bridge when I come to it, it was long ago enough that my records show I have made a turnaround.

Thanks for the confirmation everyone. Don’t worry, I’ll be honest!
