Dropping a class in the middle of the year

<p>How bad does it look to adcoms if you drop an AP class (thats an elective) in the middle of the year, even if you replace it with another (some would say easier) AP. I have been told that it will hurt chances dramatically. Is this true? Do adcoms look at EVERY single class of EVERY single student?</p>

<p>It doesn’t look good. What classes are you thinking of transferring to and from. I think if you or a counselor explains the case (e.g. you discovered a new interest in the new class) it would be permissible.</p>
