Dropping a course in senior year?

i’m ****ed off at my Law teacher right now. Why in the hell would she give out so many group assignments in senior year. I should have gone with the nerds, but now i’m stuck in a group of articulate but lazy mthfckers. I got a 72 on our first presentation cuz the guy who promises to do the type-up waited till the morning off. ■■■ The thing with this teacher is that you are struck with the group you pick until mid-term. I mean w t f!

If i drop this course, it will shows on my transcript that i dropped a course but no mark will be recorded. how will this impact my chance at the top schools? I mean even after i drop it, i will still carry 7 courses.

Talk with your Law teacher about your group situation.

the thing that makes me mad the most is that if i just let everyone do their part and then put it together in the end, automatic 70s. If i want a good mark, i have to do everything.

I mean , are you serious! grade 12 and you still give group marks!!!

I hate group projects. What I do with my teachers is I tell them at the beginning of the project, what my part is and what everyone else’s part is. If they don’t do their part, I don’t get marked down. I have not had ONE teacher who has found that suggestion unreasonable.

Explain to the teacher that you don’t want your grade to be influenced by the work effort of your peers.

^That’s a good idea. You just need to talk to your teacher. Tell them what you are doing and what everyone else is doing. That way, you will receive a grade based off of your attributions. Talk to your teacher about this before you drop. I highly suggest that you don’t drop a class just because you don’t want to do all of the work and aren’t content with group projects. Let us know how it goes. Best of luck!
