dropping a semester class before being accepted?

I signed up for one of my semester classes (Business and Personal Finance) last year; however, instead of being put in Personal finance class that I wanted, I was put into Business finance semester class (a completely useless theory that I went over in AP Economics last year) The only way they can put me in Personal Finance (even though I signed up for it on time last year) is to do it the first period, which means that I will have to drop Botany. There is no way I can do that and now I am about to ask my counselor to drop that Business finance class and put me back as Principal’s aide I used to be the same period.

So, I was wondering, if I will ask my counselor to write a note attached to my Midyear-report saying that the class was initially there by a mistake (the application is already submitted) will that put me at any disadvantage? I still have 6 classes, three of which are AP, and other ones are honors.

PS:I have been in this new class for only a day so far .

No, you should be fine.
