I’ve been accepted EA to a school that doesn’t accept AP credit. So I’m not going to take the AP exams in May. My school has a strict policy and is going to change my status from AP to Honors (even though I’ll still be in the AP class).

Since I plan on going to my EA school, do I just need to tell them? Or should I also tell the other colleges I applied to?

Also, should I send my 7th semester transcript to all colleges or just my EA school?

Even if they don’t give AP credit, many colleges will use AP scores to let you place out of classes. Have you reviewed your college’s policies? DS got no credit but placed out of a foreign language requirement, avoided basic writing classes, placed into higher level math, etc.

Be careful. I know of two ED accepted students who tried to drop AP classes and were told they could not by the college admissions officer. Definitely check with your EA school.
