I’ve already dropped two classes, getting two Ws on my transcript. I’m also adding two new classes. I’m taking Calculus for Science majors when I want to be a math minor, which requires regular Calculus. I’m also taking speech for science majors when I could just drop that and take the speech class for my new major OR take the prerequisites for my major so I don’t fall behind. Would extra Ws look bad, or would they be okay since I’m obviously going to be taking new classes relevant to my major?

Try not to get more than 2 W. If the speech still satisfies that requirement stick it out.

It doesn’t satisfy anything… it doesn’t even count towards graduation. It’ll just affect my GPA .-. (though I’m doing well in that class, but still.)

May I ask what are you changing your major to and from?

Genetics to a double major in English Education and Classical Studies with a minor in Mathematics.

I can’t really add more than what I’ve added so far so I’m probably just going to keep my speech class and hope it boosts my GPA. (it really isn’t a hard class) However I still might be able to change my math class for my minor. I can’t even start my minor till I meet the prerequisites, but at this moment I’m not working on any prerequisites. My class and the class that comes after this one CAN be a prerequisite for the prerequisite, but I could just switch to the Calculus that IS the prerequisite for the prerequisite… so that way I would start my minor at the end of Sophomore year as opposed to the beginning of Junior year…

Anyone?
