dropping classes before HS graduation

my senioritis has gotten pretty bad lately and i really want to drop ap bio and/or ap spanish 5, even with only 2-3 weeks left of school the teachers are giving more work than ever before and its a huge pain. i know i need to email the admissions office, but does anyone know if this is usually ok?

thanks

I think you will get an F if you frop classes now and I don’t think the adcoms will put up with two F’s unless you are a recruited athlete. Try to maintain at least C’s

At my school a friend just recently asked this same question (he even has an A in the class though is so bored), and his answer was that you drop with you current grade!!! He then asked why don’t people with “As” always drop and get out of finals what not and was told that they never ask until senior year…

at almost every school i know, you drop and you get a withdraw mark on your report card, you dont get a garde at all, unless you drop while wailing, then you get a withdrawl-fail. its a very bad idea. stick out the three weeks.

Never heard of & don’t believe there are many/any schools that will give the student the grade the student has at the time of the withdrawal if the student drops a class. A school that did so would be censured by other schools & no one would know what the student learned or didn’t learn (you could theoretically drop after your 1st A in the beginning of the class & not bother learning any more). I’d be VERY cautious before relying on that advice & get in in writing & double & triple check it before relying on it.
