I was sent an invitation to Directed Studies and accepted. However, after more thinking, I have decided to drop it.

I know that I’m able to drop once I arrive on campus, but would it be a better idea to email whoever is in charge of DS and tell him/her that I have already decided to drop?

Thanks for any help.

Yeah, I would just mail them now.

Thanks for the response.

Bump. Should I expect a reply, or should I still attend the orientation for DS’ers to make sure I’m dropped?

It may not be a bad idea to attend orientation, just to be sure you do want to drop DS.

My advice: Let the professor(s) enjoy what’s left of the summer for now (and you do the same).
