In the beginning of this Summer semester, I started off Orgo I really badly and now I’m expecting to get a mediocre grade.
Now I want to drop it but the dropping date has already passed.
The only way to drop a course now is under extenuating circumstances.
But “Not prepared for this course in the first place” can’t be an acceptible reason, right?
Were any of you able to drop a course even if you didn’t have extenuating circumstances?
If so, then how?

Obviously this depends too heavily on your school’s drop policy for other students to be of any use.

i always thought one or two or probably even 3 mediocre grades are ok…=/, especially in orgo =(

Depends on what mediocre means and what the rest of his grades are.

Depending on the instructor, you may be able to raise your grade if you work really hard. For example, if your second midterm and final are worth about 75% of your grade, you can easily make up for your first exam. Orgo I is not that difficult per se – you have to be willing to put every effort into learning what you need to know. It’s a fast paced course especially over the summer.

At UC Berkeley, people tend to intentionally fail the class if they miss the deadline for dropping. It allows for them to retake the class later. I don’t recommend it. Either do well the first time around or consider it a wake up call.
